Our Story

MotorPoster started in 2025 when our founder was selling a family car. After struggling with Word templates and paying $45 for a basic poster design, the idea was clear: there had to be a better way.

New Zealand has a vibrant used vehicle market. Every day, thousands of Kiwis sell cars, boats, motorhomes, and motorbikes privately. Most need the same thing: a professional-looking poster with price, specs, and contact details that can be printed quickly at home.

But the options were limited:

• Handwritten signs look unprofessional and are hard to read
• Microsoft Word templates are fiddly and time-consuming
• Design services charge $40-100 per poster
• Generic template sites don't understand NZ requirements (WOF, rego, etc.)

MotorPoster was built to solve this problem. A purpose-built tool specifically for New Zealand vehicle sellers, with fields for WOF expiry, registration plates, genuine kilometres, and all the details Kiwi buyers actually want to see.

Our Mission

We believe selling a vehicle shouldn't be harder than it needs to be. Our mission is simple:

• Make professional posters accessible to everyone — Free basic features mean anyone can create quality vehicle posters, regardless of budget or design skills.
• Save sellers time and money — What used to take 30+ minutes in Word or $50 at a designer now takes 3 minutes and costs nothing.
• Understand the NZ market — Built with NZ requirements in mind: WOF, rego, Trade Me integration, and local buyer expectations.
• Keep improving — We listen to user feedback and regularly add features that actually help sellers.

Many "free" services hide limitations or paywall essential features. MotorPoster's core functionality is genuinely free forever. Create unlimited basic posters, include QR codes, print as many copies as you need. No hidden fees.

We don't sell your data. We don't spam your email. We collect minimal information and protect what we do collect. Your vehicle details are yours – we're just the tool you use to present them.

4. Continuously Improving

MotorPoster isn't a side project that gets abandoned. We actively develop new features, fix bugs, and respond to user feedback. Recent additions include QR code integration, multiple color themes, and enhanced mobile support – all requested by users.
